Reporting to : Head of Global Investors and Family Offices (GIFO)

Work with Head of Global Investors and Family Offices (GIFO) to drive the business development and strategy in new client acquisitions and deepening relationship with existing clients.

Responsibilities

The role is responsible for development and implementation of an end‐to‐end business development framework with objective to drive client acquisition. Key duties include and not limited to the following:

  • Identify and build prospect leads, referral channels and promote the branding of the Bank in GIFO market segment through networking, developing, defining, and relationship building with GIFO market and working closely with GIFO Relationship Managers (RMs) in closing business opportunities
  • Partner the RMs to identify, prospect and pitch their products & services to family offices and professional investors
  • Work with the business partners and RIs to drive the client acquisition activities, including providing trainings for business partners/RIs, facilitating and participating in client events organized by business partners/RIs.
  • Work with the GIFO RMs to prospect the client to uncover their Private banking needs, and develop the appropriate investment proposal
  • Work with the GIFO RMs and manage the client onboarding, funding of the account, & obtaining investment mandates
  • Partner GIFO RMs to perform ongoing follow up where necessary
  • Ensure all activities carried out are in full compliance to the policies of the Group and the Bank’s policies as well as the local regulation
  • Represent the Bank professionally in all circumstances including participation in industry events and tradeshows with an intention to gain new business leads and contacts
  • Manage and maintain pipeline and ensure all sales administration is documented properly on monthly basis
  • Keep abreast of the changing demand of clients and collect market intelligence and translate these to opportunities
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

 

Qualifications

  • Seasoned investment banker with institutional sales coverage, or broad sales experience, who is looking at a career move to Private Banking
  • Background in ECM, DCM, M&A preferred
  • Asset Management Experience (mutual fund, hedge fund or PE) with strong sales trait and client facing experience can also be considered
  • With considerable relevant Investment banking (IB) experience or a combination of experience in IB and consulting experience, preferably with top consultancy firms
  • Good university degree. Possession of MBA degree or related qualification is advantageous
  • Self-starter, driven, highly motivated and socially adept
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and diverse work environment
  • Excellent presentation, influencing & communication skills
  • Confident and strong knowledge of financial products
  • Able to work well with multiple stakeholders and build rapport
